If most crypto is junk, why care? Because the infrastructure is likely the future of how money and assets move - the same way most 1999 dotcoms died but the internet reshaped everything. The skill is separating the infrastructure from the casino.
What gives any of it value? The same thing that gives a dollar value: trust plus usefulness. A project that's trustworthy and genuinely needed can hold value; one that's neither can't, no matter the hype.
